Error transferring HUT info to opponent

About half the times that I try to play a HUT online seasons (or playoff) game, I cannot connect to my opponent. Instead, I get the following message shortly after the "searching for opponent" dialog closes:

  • An error has occurred transferring your Hockey Ultimate Team info to your opponent. Please try again.

Now, whenever this error doesn't happen, I'm the visiting team. I'm fairly certain that this problem is happening every time I am chosen to be the home-team player. It doesn't happen when I invite a friend to play a HUT game (but in that scenario, there's no time limit on the connection attempt).

What can I do to troubleshoot this issue?

    Surely someone else has seen this problem too? I had it on my brother's PS3 on my old ISP, before I moved two provinces over. I have it again, even though I'm on a different PS3 with different LAN equipment and a different ISP. It's obviously not a quirk of one particular piece of electronics, so what's going on here?

    Considering I can no longer log into the EA forum itself (it accepts a log on and then immediately disregards it), and the link to the official technical support sub-forum redirects here, I'm pretty disappointed that this still hasn't gotten any acknowledgment. Is there somewhere else I'm supposed to go for help with this issue? At least a form-letter for troubleshooting from an EA rep would be nice. I've been civil, clear, and thorough in describing this issue, and now it feels like I'm being avoided because my issue isn't as easy as a cut-and-paste solution.

    I have the same issue and have for sometime. It appears as though the data is corrupted, the only way out is to delete team and start over. I certainly don't want to do that unless I get the count less purchased packs in some sort of refund package. We know that won't happen. Thanks EA

    I have this problem on nhl 14 ea wont help its pathetic.
