- @heavydutyrammer 100%. as we've said countless times, the little things are not present in franchise

I’ll bang this drum for all time until we get it.
Also, you should be able to set a percentage of starts you want your number 1 and your number 2 goalie to get.
Also also, if you call up a third string goalie to sit on the bench so your starter can rest in the press box for the last two games of the season, your starter shouldn’t have a negative morale hit for being “scratched.” That part really goes for most players. Can’t give any of them maintenance days down the stretch (unless they’re hurt) so you just have to risk losing your stars for the first round of the playoffs even though you’ve already clinched home ice. I agree. It would be nice to know who is starting in net.
I could be completely wrong on this, but I think part of the reason why the menus are slow is because they are animated. Even if it's 15 or 30 frames of animation, it's wasting time especially going through 3 or 4 menus each game.
Ideally, seeing the starting goalie without navigating through menus would be best. I think making menus faster and removing any zoom animations or whatever would be icing on the cake.
- @kyl_35 that part about the morale and maintenance days is huge
Back in NHL 16 I had a major issue with this. Had Steve Mason get injured and missed significant time, when he was "available to play" I left him out of the lineup (wanting him to be fully healthy). Little did I know that the sim engine would take 4 days to actually stop simming, causing him to miss a game and refusing to play for my team
I haven't played with morale on since - Beauts904 years agoSeasoned Ace
This is a great thread of things I’d love to see.
I also hate when my starting goalie is “healthy” enough to play so I have to send my 3rd string goalie back to the minors. I set my starter as the backup and when I sim the cpu puts him in and he gets re-injured because he wasn't fully recovered.

Oh my god, yes. Not only is that specific scenario super frustrating, but just the sheer amount of times in a season (or a playoff run) that a goalie won’t finish a simmed game, and also won’t be injured the next game is insane.
Without getting pulled, if my starter doesn’t finish a game, he better not be able to play the next day as well.
