GM Connected - Players missing after trade

4. September 23 - September 26 ( Real Life ) - Season Length - Week 4 & Week 6. 

5. A) Chicago traded Andrew Shaw to Tampa Bay for St. Louis - Put them over the cap by 4M.  In 2013 this trade would have been automatically rejected.  Trade was approved. Schedule was advanced. Jonothan Toews & Nick Leddy were removed from the league.  Nowhere.  Weren't placed on waiver wire, free agents, injury reports, you can't find them anywhere not even in player stats.  

---- I then read this occurs with waivers being on ---- So we tried shutting waivers off.  

Nashville trades 1st Rounder / Seth Jones / Colten Sissons to Montreal for A. Galchenyuk / PK Subban

Trade is accepted by computer again. Putting Nashville 4M over the cap. Schedule is advanced.  All players have been acquired as deal suggests, except PK Subban is completely gone from the game.  Again, nowhere in the league to be found.  

I've also read that the CPU will auto-adjust if you're over the cap sending players through to the minors... But, even if that were the case, Other teams would have them, or have the opportunity to claim them as we do after each sim.  Or, you'd see them in your AHL under roster moves, or in your contracts screen.  None of this happens.  

.... Any feedback would be appreciated.

In the past, the CPU would automatically reject this trade if it violated cap, or roster size.  Our guys have made straight across 1 for 1 deals, and players have gone missing, completely from the game.  Don't even show up in player stats.  

As Nils said, if you go over the cap and the players cannot go on waivers, the computer does not reject the trade for you in GMC. The players may be released and will show up as free agents the next season. 

When this happens it seems like they are basically invisible and won't show up on any roster. They will come back but not until the next full season. Really the best way to avoid this is to stay under the cap and manage your team accordingly. The game really should alert you when this happens, but its avoidable at least. 

Taylor disappeared in my Gm Connected league during the resigning phase after the the very first season.  His contract was not up for review. POOF.  gone.  There was no trade at this time.  Also, previously in the season Marian Hossa disappeared.  No trade was made involving him but there may have been one involving his team.

Same thing happened with us & Nick Leddy.  The team had made a team, not involing him.  The team was 4M over the space after the traded had been approved.  They've since lost Leddy & Toews... Which combined is much more than 4M.  Doesnt make sense.

Wrong : the issue is that players disappear from the game, even if its ''only'' for a season, they still count against the cap during that season. This is ridiculous, if the issue is that a team has gone over the salary cap, and the solution is to make a player disappear, AT THE VERY LEAST the player's salary should also be eliminated from the team. 

This has now been a issue for two straight years, we are building our teams based on these players, and their salaries...they can't disappear ??? what kind of solution is that ??

Well it's great, now maybe I can re-sign him for more money, and then I'll have both his salaries on my payroll...

Also the AI constantly re-doing my lines is really starting to piss me off, and why can't we set up our startegies before the game !? like do it once at the start of the season instead of 82 times.

I had 1 game get simmed and lost a dman to injury.

Another dman got called up.

I had a trade go through that was ok before the injury, and I thought I was still OK with the cap space, and had 47 players on the roster.

Yet the game somehow chose to release Pietrangelo for less then 500k needed to make space for the trade, which could have easily been done by sending any of the 4 players that could go through waivers or sending down any OTHER player then my best player.4

What is the actual algorithm in choosing who to release? Why would it choose arguably one of the best players to have in GM connected?

Is this going to stay put? 

Is anything being done about this?

I'm the commissioner of that league, and I couldn't even do anything about it.

Please tell me you can solve this issue, or GM connected will become a bigger joke then it is already.
