My player cannot obtain control of the puck but kicks it

What happens when the bug occurs? My player or players on NHL 22 cannot obtain control of the puck during the whole game. The opposite team always has control of the puck.
What do you expect to see? I expect a patch created to fix this problem As it is I cannot play the game.
