NHL 15 on wii u

Why is it that EA will not make an NHL game on the wii u? I know that NHL 14 was running on wii u hardware, as I have seen the videos, so I don't understand why it's not coming out. Is it because there isn't a large enough install base? Because the wiiu is in second place right now about a million behind ps4, but way ahead of xbox one, and yet but 15 is coming to both of those systems. So install base isn't the reason. It may not be as powerful as those systems, but it's far more powerful than the 360 and ps3, which are getting it. So that can't be the reason. And the controller possibilities are endless with the game pad. Imagine having the player locations displayed on the game pad. Then while cycling the puck in the corner, tapping and dragging Erik Karlsson to the front of the net for the awesome one timer. So I know that controls aren't the reason. I just really would like a reason or an explanation, because there are enough consoles, enough fans, the graphics are easily doable on the wiiu, and the controls are there, and there is actually a decent online network from Nintendo now. So what is it? Is it because nintendo won't let ea use origin on their nintendo network?

  • i have the wii and  i would totally love to play a recent hockey game on it. On top of that, i also want a recent player that i enjoy watching- #62 of the New york Rangers. i know i could just buy the game for "collections" but i enjoy playing it also.

what i don't get is why not make it come out for the wii?

if audience is the issue, i really don't think so.  I like EA Sports NHL on Facebook and when i heard the demo is coming out, i was like ooh i want to play.

i guess the only issue with the wii is that perhaps no origin?

EA doesn't make games for Wii-U anymore because of their hardware. EA pulled support from Wii-U and you will never get a NHL game on it or any other EA game for that matter.

What do you mean, because of the hardware? Specify the reasons please. As I stated above, the wiiu is not as powerful as the ps4 or xbox one, but after please it on the 360 and xbox one, the hardware can clearly handle it. EA sports games never pushes the power of a console, so why not put it on the wiiu? So, please specify why it's "because of their hardware"....

That is what EA said, this isn't my opinion. Here is the link outlining why there are no EA games on Wii-U
