When receiving a puck after pass while breaking out of zone the player receiving passes it on its own. This is not because pass was pushed prior. It is consistent and annoying. It does in other parts of ice but mostly when passing while getting into break away
Have you got any answers on how to stop autopass on a breakaway? Mine automatically does this only on my controller though

I'm having the same issue playing NHL 19 NHL 20 and NHL 21. Once I pass forward to a player to breakout, he just dumps it down the ice or passes it off to another player even though all I have done is to keep the left stick in the up position to continue skating.

What control scheme are you using? Also, have you tried a different controller? Normally, when this happens either you're pressing up on the right stick, holding in RB/R1 and pressing up on the right stick or you're hitting the pass button again and are one-touching the puck to a teammate. If you're absolutely positive none of these are happening, it's very possible the problem is with your controller. What system are you playing on? If it's Xbox, make sure your controller has the latest firmware. That can be found at Settings > Devices & connections > Accessories.
