nhl 23 on pc
hello dear developers. I know that NHL is not released on PC. you said that if there is demand, you will return the series to the PC. so I know a lot of people who would like to play this wonderful...
Madden and FIFA are way more popular than NHL, that's why we don't get a port. They should work toward fixing a bunch of current issues before even considering taking time/resources to make one anyway
Considering PC gaming is the most popular form of gaming it would make sense theres a bigger crowd when both games are ported to PC and giving players the option. Never would I buy a garbage consoles that run decade old hardware. EA has never been known for massive jumps or state of the art proprietary shifts in their product.... Heck Madden 22 stadiums still read Madden 2019. The amount of money they loss out on by not doing a port is much larger then you think.
I think console actually outnumbers PC in the other sports titles but I see your point. In any case, I don't think they're too concerned about loss of revenue with all the Ultimate team marks out there.
Your uber PC will still need to run a game that's barely optimized for last gen consoles - your community can always add new files to fix things but us console peasants need all the help/time/resources we can get to stabalize everything on a base level
You are totally correct on poor optimization bogging down top of the line hardware but I would think with how big EA is they would have a group capable of a decent port. Mods are the typical reason people love PC ports because it can take any game and give it a completely fresh appeal to it. EA is a 34 billion dollar company (as of current market cap) they have investors to satisfy, I would think ignoring possible new sources of revenue wouldnt be in the best intrest of the company but hey, its EA they do what they want.
I guess I'll just sit here wishing they port to PC lol because I cant foresee myself getting a 200-300 dollar console for one game.
Agree with you. However if EA Sports made the same game for PC users with expanded settings menu for users who can't run everything. They would get sales. How EA Sports have never heard of settings menu is amusing. Plus if you have AMD or Nvidia there software detects for the best experience.
I like many users stopped buying EA Sports games when way back in 2010 the games were always Playstation 2 ports and looked awful. .
We'll have to agree to disagree that a settings menu would drive a large number of people to purchase a PC version of the game. Regardless, no matter how good a PC version would be, chances are very good it just wouldn't have a big enough playerbase to support the very high amount of work. We'd also need to shift focus from the console version to PC to make this happen. Which, would mean the console version would get a lot less attention.

I think it's much smaller than you think. Hockey is a pretty niche sport, the people who are interested in playing Hockey are already playing it on console. Most of the PC Hockey market would be players ditching their console versions for PC.
For the record I still think they should do it.
