NHL21 HUT Marketplace Issue

Product: NHL 21
Platform:Microsoft XBOX One
How often does the bug occur? Rarely (0% - 9%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Putting a player on the market for max price with no buy now price
What happens when the bug occurs? player sold before it even hit the market killing the time the player was put up for
What do you expect to see? I expect to see this reversed. This was an internal bug that should NOT have happened. I have pictures showing i did NOT place a buy now price.
Was the issue in online or offline mode? Online

87 OVR Primetime Ovechkin just came out in packs today. Hasnt even been in the game for more than 24 hours. Just pulled him in a pack (granted i spend hundres on packs) and noticed he wasnt even on the marketplace. Put him up for the Max price of 99,950 (which is stupid considering a 86 kucherov has a max price of 200,00 ???) with NO buy now price. 2 seconds later my card was sold ?? for 100,000 buy now ?? I didnt set a buy now price and with 1 hour remaining please tell me how it sold. I have a picture of the OVI in my sold items showing i did NOT set a buy now price. This card would have sold for way more if this did not occur. Its doesnt make any sense how this happened. Ive been playing NHL for years and spent way to much money on the game to have this happen. I dont know if it has to do with the new limits you put on cards this year but this needs to be corrected and fixed so this doesnt happen again. Unacceptable.

    Hi there, @xItalian142x.

    Unfortunately, we can't verify that you didn't set a buy now price since it sold using the buy now option. We wouldn't be able to reverse this. I'm very sorry.

  • Cant verify that I didnt set a buy now price? Did you even look at the picture i attached? It shows there wasnt a buy now price attached with my listing.. The other players in my sold section clearly show a buy now price because i set one for those players. OVI is on the market place right now for 250k. Meaning now you guys changed the pricing range? Showing that you guys knew 100k was too cheap. Why am i being screwed out of 150k because you guys dont know how to set proper pricing ranges? How could it have sold using the "buy now option" if i didnt set one?? actually look at the picture i attached and show me where i set the option for someone to buy now on my card.

  • Being unaware of a problem on your game is why you created help pages like this is it not? To get them fixed when problems occur. telling me to go to https://help.ea.com/en/contact-us/new/

    is how I already created this report.. So how is that going to help me? You guys give an option to post a pictures to show proof which is what i did. I dont understand what the point is if nothing is going to be done about the issue. I have proof. You can see that in the picture posted. Im still waiting for an actual solution to my problem.

    This isn't something we can investigate through Answers HQ. You'll need to contact an advisor. We're not getting other reports of buy now being automatically set. If it was a known issue, we'd have some additional information. That's not the case here so your account will need to be investigated. Please contact an advisor so they can do that.

    @xItalian142x Don't worry, they are also screwing me out of false advertising when not setting a quantity limit on the amount of purchases in teh first couple weeks for the Jumbo Elite Players Pack but when you do go to purchase there is a limit. I spent $100 to buy as many packs as possible, hit an error, and they were unwilling to give me my money back for the unused points or for manually taking my points and giving me the packs i requested to purchase (while still available to purchase in the store). I contacted their support and they told me to post something here so that they could help, because they could not and would not help me when reaching out to them directly. This game is such a scam.

    Like you, I have purchased EA NHL games for years and they do not treat their customers with respect who spend hundreds or thousands per year on their products. I do think that if we found enough players out there that we could start a class action lawsuit for being scammed in ways for their unwillingess to help us as they make excuses and claim they cant fix it.

    For example, I gave them a video of the errors I received and showed them that it was false advertising by not allowing me to purchase what I intended to purchase over 8 times and they told me via chat, there's no proof you intended to purchase these packs. I told them right that second, I'm intending to purchase these packs in writing and in the videos I sent. They are the absolute worst.

    Not sure if you have any scenarios like that where we could discuss more and find more players in similar situations, but I think this is the only way they will take us seriously is if there's a large enough amount of people complaining about their misfortunes that EA brings on themselves for not thinking through their issues and resolving it for the thousands of players who pay to play each year. They are ruthless and should be held responsible for the countless acts where they treat their customers like crap and take advantage of them.
  • @xItalian142x  Here's a screenshot to the landing page where my original post was made last Friday that they removed from being visible to the community. Unreal. Had to go back into my history to find the link to where i posted it in the forum and I get the attached screenshot. Maybe I should start by looking into litigation...

    Not for how in depth you read my issue but ive been chatting with someone I was redirected too and this is the solution he gave me to being outed 150k pucks.. "Could you try doing a power cycle? I know its a very basic step, but it can help with a lot of issues. Shut down the console completely and unplug it from the power for a full two minutes. Then turn it back on and try to list a player and see if you have the same problem" ... Turn it off and turn it back on?? like that will fix the problem I had.. Its ridiculous. Now they are saying there is nothing they can do but fix it for other players in the future.. What about me who was screwed by this now? And what proof do we have that itll ever even be looked into?

    @xItalian142x Yea, read your issue in full. I know it’s different from my situation, but you had visible evidence and proof of error like I did. They told me “I understand your concern, the issue will just need to be investigated further. We do appreciate the feedback.” My frustration is their unwillingness to make their game glitches right to you and I, let alone others who experience such issues. I asked for a timeframe and who I should be hearing back from and no response. Fixing it for future scenarios does not fix the pain you and I have received especially as we continue to purchase/sell players our players collection continues to devalue immediately. They don’t care because they know they will capitalize on everyone spending money each year regardless of the errors and glitches we receive, especially since they have a monopoly on sports video games.
