I'll give you a recap of everything I've done that was posted in another thread. To answer your question, this happens every single time I try an online game mode. Whether it be online versus, EASHL, HUT, etc. My ISP is Bell, but I've eliminated my connection as an issue as I've tried multiple different hotspots as well and got the same errors.
-reset alternate MAC address
-opened all ports as per recommendation
-confirmed hardwired connection
-confirmed NAT is open.
-changed to Google DNS, later changed to another DNS starting with 208... etc
-uninstalled/reinstalled NHL 20.
-deleted any saved game data.
-performed UOTrace route on my network, gave results to EA help tech who stated the results were good.
-connected my console to hotspot from my cell phone, still experienced the same issues.
-connected my console to hotspot on my work cell phone, still experienced the same issues.
-tried a friend's gamertag on my console, still experienced the same issues.
-made a new gamertag and even purchased a month of EA access at the recommendation of EA help tech. Couldn't get EA access to load.
-my friend tried my gamertag on his console, it worked with no issue.
-factory reset console.
-uninstalled/reinstalled NHL 20.
-confirmed with ISP that router's firmware is up to date.
EDIT:
-also tried recommended steps by other users here, including deleting persistent data on DVD menu.
No issues playing any other game, including NHL 19.
