I should add that I have played other games online and never experience any issues whatsoever.

Please ensure the following:

• You are signed in to your active XBL Gold account
• Your gaming(XBL) and EA accounts are linked: https://help.ea.com/en/article/linking-your-origin-account-with-your-psn-id-and-gamertag/
• The relevant ports at the following link are open on your router
• You are not using the internet connection of a mobile device (piggybacking)
• You are not on a restricted network - corporate/military/college/University

Please post any further relevant details if those steps do not help you connect.

I have downloaded Origin, and made an account using the same email as my Xbox gamer tag.

They are not linked.

When I tried to link it myself, I got a notification saying my Xbox is linked to a different Origin, I have never had different Origin.

How can I fix?

If your console is second hand then you may need to contact Microsoft to remove the previous users' account.

Don't suppose I can get my 70 dollars back that I spent on this horse* * game?

Me too, never had these problems on 360, no network connection and if I do, then it says failure to acquire data... but only for hut and online, if I want to play ea hockey or team play when I luckily have network connection but can't play hut it works no problem. Sure glad I didn't waste more money on Madden, fifa and the rest of the ea games I buy every year. These games aren't good enough if you can't play online.

I accept this as an acceptable answer. Never buy an Ea product again andbe done with it.

Hello everyone, 

I am having trouble connecting to NHL 16 multiplayer. 

I tested my connection on the settings, and everything is perfect.

Nat type OPEN.

I plated Battlefield to confirm, and had no connectivity issues whatssoever. 

Whenever I try to access multiplayer on NHL 16 (his has been going on for months)

I get a notification saying "Network connection issue" which basically says it's my internet that is the problem... but if I can play BF hardline, I should be able to play NHL 16

Please help .
