If an account isn't using 2 factor authentication, it will remain without it being enabled until the owner activates it. Accounts aren't deleted automatically as well.

In order to make any changes to the account, you'd need to log in at origin.ea.com to update the settings.

The only way to get the account back is to go through the account recovery process. I'm really sorry that's not working out for you, but unfortunately, that's your only option with getting access to that account again.

I find it very hard to believe that inactive accounts just sit idle forever. But I guess you dont have an answer for that. Please just say so.

If I am able to sign in automatically while playing apex legends and battlefront 2 from my ps4, (all the same psnid) shouldn't that prove the account belongs to me? Are ea account settings accessible in game? I would imagine i could sign out fron the ea account fron apex legends for example. Please just answer my questions directly.

Your EA account settings are not accessible in-game. They can only be changed at www.origin.com or by an advisor.

Can you give me any insight as to why I can be automatically logged into some ea games and not others while using the same psn id? Keeping in mind this all happens automatically.

Also how do I get an advisor? Or is that ea slang for who gets assigned my web tickets?

I am going to reinstall both battlefront 2 and apex legends and verify that they are linked to the same ea account

If you logged into those games previously on that console, they should still work. Since NHL 20 hasn't been played on that console before, it's going through the verification process. If you try to play Apex Legends and Battlefront 2 on a different console, you should be prompted to verify your account.

You can get an advisor by either contacting @EAHelp through Twitter or open a case with a live support advisor here: https://help.ea.com/en/contact-us/new/. They can't help with account recovery cases though.

Apex legends finished installing. The ea account linked to this game is a different email address than the one that got automatically linked to nhl 20.

Sir, is this the correct place to ask technical questions? Its beginning to look more and more like an issue on EA s end. The email address linked to my apex legends game is the same as my normal email address. The nhl20 email address has a @easports, email associated with it. Am I in the right place?

We can't troubleshoot account issues here. That's what this is. It's not a technical or hardware issue. If you are seeing any email that is not yours, that's a problem with your account. I would suggest you contact @EAHelp through Twitter for assistance. They can at least look over the account and try to get you some information. However, they won't be able to tell you much at all if you can't verify ownership. That requires having access to the email on the account.

It seems like my account is fine. The issue is with nhl20. Somehow during the installation process, eas game filled in the email field with a @easports address. I'm not a developer there. I can only guess why. I'll try uninstalling the game and reinstalling it. That may solve the issue.

I dont have a Twitter. I'm not trying to create yet another account in order to do something that is supposed to be fun.

What questions are you even here for? It looks like it's mostly children complaining about connection issues...

Reinstalling won't resolve this. I talk to people daily about it. It's an account issue and you'll need to go through the account recovery process to get it resolved.

No worries. If you don't want to create an account, I get that. Just keep it in mind if anything changes and you want to talk to someone else about it.

We handle moderation, engagement about our games, technical issues and whatever else we can. We can't handle account issues because it's a privacy concern. We're here talking publicly and can't discuss private account details. We also have dedicated advisors that handle those cases through Twitter, Facebook and live support. If you use Facebook, you could try getting some help here: https://www.facebook.com/EAHelpHub/. The same thing applies though. They won't be able to talk about account details if you can't verify ownership.

I do not understand. You run into this issue everyday? Let's lay it out and I will elaborate

1. Bought nhl 20 and installed. Incorrect email associated with nhl 20. I never made or submitted an @easports.com email address.

2. I have an origin account. An account that is linked several ea titles on the same playstation using the same psn id.

3. You are saying I need to prove ownership of an account[@easports.com] that I have never entered, nor owned. I cannot prove ownership of an account that i dont own.

4. It is not possible to disassociate this erroneous account with my recently purchased game. Because of number 3.

This is outrageously unacceptable. I don't have a Facebook. Please stop trying to pass me off and try to devise a solution with me.

I'm not trying to pass you off. We don't handle account-related issues here. Those are handled through live support, Twitter and Facebook. You'll need to contact an advisor through those channels for assistance with this.

Did I misspeak anywhere on that previous post? I want to be sure I am explaining the issue correctly when I enter submit the seventh ticket.

I finished the re install this morning and the account being automatically linked to nhl 20 is still different than the other ea games.

Any tips on how I can prove I'm the owner of the faux ea account? That is the only way I can play this game online right?

The other games would be on the same EA account. I don't believe you can see the email of your account in Apex Legends and Battlefront 2. If you were to load into FIFA or Madden, you'd be able to see the email of your account.

The best way to prove you're the owner of the account is to fill out the account recovery web form with accurate information.

You can see what account you are logged into when using battlefront 2 and apex legends. I am at work right now, but I can provide a screen shot. Would this be the forum to post it on? Or am I just wasting my time?

Also how can I prove I own the @easports account. I dont own the account. It was erroneously attributed to that nhl 20 game. And is not my normal origin account, that is tied to my other ea games on the same psnid

That's fine. Post screenshots here. There isn't a lot I can do since this is an account issue, but I'll help as much as I can. It would be best to contact an advisor for help. That way they can take a look at the account and try to verify it with you.

Sir. They need to verify I own an account, I don't own. They wont remove the account that your company erroneously ties to my nhl 20 purchase. How am I suppoaed to provide details to an account i dont own? Do you understand this is the issue. I can easily prove I own my actual account. That is not true. I cannot complete the account recovery process. We have been over this. I hope they are paying you well to do this.

I finally got somebody from ea on the phone that spoke strong English. And we figured out why this is happening and it has nothing to do with the account recovery process.

This faux account was created in 2014 via my playstation 4, using the email address @easports.com. this was prior to the authentication process that you wont shut up about. I haven't played an ea sports title since, and during that 6 year period, ea has implemented ultimate teams, which has items tied to the account.

When this feature was implemented EA only then required users to validate their ea accounts email address. Accounts, like mine, that existed prior to this were moved over but email address was never verified. Bcof this accounts like this will never be able to log in.

I wont ever be able to play an EA game again using my psnid, the account to which all my games are tied.

Listen my dude. You're company needs to change. What is happening is borderline criminal. While I realize it isnt your fault you could have at least saved me the trouble of figuring out exactly what happened. You knew ultimate teams were impmentened recently and are the cause of these tightened security on accounts. Yet you said nothing of it. Keep it real. I will never get another ea game again. Not that I could even play it if I did.

You are misunderstanding. I never said you[ea] moved accounts to an @easports.com. I had an ea account  tied to my psnid, before EA went completely insane with the account verification. The ea account tied to my playstation was never verified because it is from 10 years ago. In this time period, EA required users who have an account to verify the emails.

For a company that actually cares, uping the security like this would lead to the deletion/disassociation, of the ea account to the psnid. Naturally, EA cant be bothered. So now I have an ea account that can never be verified tied to all my games. I can never play an EA game on my playstation account again.

To sprinkle some salt in the wound, I cant even return the game to the ps store because I already downloaded the game. Basically EA has stolen 60 dollars from me.

Which case number would you like? There are several. 56563730 was the first one. Theres literally a dozen more. If you need more to pretend you are doing something about this please ask.

We can't remove the PSN ID from the account because you haven't verified ownership. It's incredibly damaging to the account so we need to be sure we're talking with the account owner. 

I took a look at the accounts in question. I can't give out any details here, but I can see they've told you to go through account recovery to try to get access restored. The best I can tell you is to keep trying and provide more accurate information.

Sir, i have laid out why I cannot recover the account. If you can see the account information, you can see what is happening and yet you refuse to acknowledge the broken loop in which my account is stuck in. You see how long ago the account was created and you as an mod should know when these tightened security measures were implemented. Its tied to ultimate teams which my account predates.

In order for me to verify that @easports account, I need access to that email because for whatever reason, your company is pretending that email has been verified in the past.

I hope EA is paying you well to lie to your customers that they steal from. You know the account recovery process will not work for this issue and I have explained why. You made me find the answers to your companys backward policy. You see I have no ultimate team or anything of monetary value tied to the account. If security was such as concern that would be enough. EA has stolen 60 dollars from me and they are paying you to lie to me about how to fix it. No fix exists. I am only posting these for future people who may come back to ea games after years and run into this very issue.

The account recovery process is there specifically for those who do not have access to the email on their account. That's why it exists. The best advice I can give is to try it again. You can find those details here: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/account/im-locked-out-of-my-ea-account. This process absolutely works when you provide enough accurate information about your account.

That Would be true if my account was ever verified. Any account made since EA implemented their gross microtransactions are required to verify the email address. As in you create an account with an email, a verification email is sent to said email to verify the email belongs to the person who created it.

As you can see. My account predates that practice. My account was never verified, it couldnt be, I don't nor have I ever had an account on @easports.com.

Previously you were telling me that I was stuck. Then you told me to take my case to twitter or Facebook lol. Now you are saying I can do it using the account recovery process.

This is an edge case. You know that the account recovery process will never work for me. I have been on the phone 4 times with this trying to figure out what happened. Now that I have a pretty strong grasp on how your comapny stole from me, you continue to insist I do a process you formerly acknowledged wont work.
