So, here is my prime example. I've got 3 centers, at are scored 83, 82, and 79 overall. They each have a face-off rating of 62.... This means, they aren't good centers. I want to make them wingers so they'll progress better, but I can't. Coahes and general managers do they all the time, Look at Ryan Hartman on the Wild, the dude plays everything.

Next, I got Rich Viveros, a CPU generated Sniper with 84 overall, who has Wrist Shot Accuracy and Power in the high 60s and Slap Shot Accuracy and Power in the low 70s, but his Deming, Hand Eye, and Passing at all high 80s. He's a better play maker, but he's stuck as a sniper and has considered lower scoring then my 71 CPU generated Sniper C.J. Smith who has both Wrist and Slap Shot Accuracy and Power in the high 80s....

I want the ability to fix wrong positions, add secondary positions, change player type, and looks. I don't want to edit stats.

You are welcome to fully edit stats, I really don't care to go that far into things.

They took is away in NHL 21, and my thought process is that all the streamers told people in NHL 20 to best the system, change all their players on each line to PWF, SNP, and PLY to overcome the TWF bias and get all Line Chemistry to 5, which they felt was cheating.

So, the removed our ability to do that, becuase they don't know how to fix the issue. The truth of the matter is the Xfactors really help, but they need to overhaul the Chem issues, since that is key for a good season.

That being said, wheeling and dealing, I currently have a Kraken's Franchise with 3 lines at +5 and my third line is +3, but it took an insane amount of prep time to do that. Also my D pairs are +5, +2, +3 and I've got a 92 franchise goalies with a Zone ability and 4 superstar abilities, but can't win the cup.... Buffalo can.... WHY.... They trade Echel and have an 82 overall goalie....

They really need to do something about the sim engine. I can’t count how many times I’ve tried to do a rebuild and after selling off all my players go on to make a deep playoff run. Too many times I’ve seen terrible teams win the cup while stacked teams fail to even come close to the playoffs.

Oh I completely agree. I just summed a season, with 71 wins, and I scanned I didn't lose a game to Vegas. They were the bottom Wild Card, and they swept me in Round 1 of the playoffs. Again they only have an 81 goalie with a 77bm starter, and their D pairs are pretty weak. I've got 86+ Second Line and a 91/93/90 first line and both have +5 Chem.
