Wrist shots are actually not the easiest. They normally register is snapshots. One way to make them count is to be facing the opposite direction and then press up to shoot. So, if your opponent's zone is up, you face your net (down) and press up on the stick to shoot. That normally registers as a wrist shot. It also works pretty well when coming around from the back of the net and shooting. Not a wrap-around, but just a regular shot.
