Can two people play on the same Origin account at the same time?

I have Sims 3. My bffs want to use it too. But I want to play by myself while they use my account for their sims. Can I do that and if so how?

    @aamaia4life You can only be logged in to the same account on one device/computer at a time, so in short, no. You can have games installed on more than one computer/device, but since you need to be logged in to Origin to play them, only one person can play on one device at the same time. If your friends like the games, they should purchase them on their own accounts. 
    It's also not recommended that you share your account information (such as your password) with anyone, even your friends. Also, if you wish to avoid your account being hacked/increase account security, it's recommended you use login verification. Getting your account back after it has been hacked can be a pain, so better to avoid it altogether. 😉

    You most certainly can. To access some content of games, you require to be online, but thankfully you don't actually need to be online to play most games. (Offline mode)

    So when you log into your account you can select your friends computer to be logged off. They can however continue in offline mode.

    Alternatively you have the option to continue in offline mode and allow your friend access to the online features. All this is even said by the origin client when you attempt to log in from a second computer.

    (THANK GOD/EA FOR OFFLINE MODE!)

    So while two people can't be online from the same account at the same time, two people can be logged into the same account at the same time. As the other person stated though, sharing your password with anyone means that you give them absolute trust, since you don't actually know how well they'll keep it a secret. It is also a minor hassle to deal with offline/online mode every time you log in, and some people quite like the online features of games. But it is nevertheless possible, and i for one love EA for this. They are doing everything right to actually become a good company some time.

    Thankyou Cody nemo, you have solved a dilemma. I have sims 3 and sims 4 plus all expansions on my laptop. I am currently playing 4 and my daughter has just got her own laptop and wants to play 3. I was worried I would have to buy them all over again. Thanx for your help x

    you cant play the same games at the same time but you can play different games at the same time on the same origin account
