Typically you should be able to just make sure your Steam account is properly linked to verify your games. There shouldn't be any need to enter an actual key if the accounts are linked.
Since you're getting password reset loops when trying to complete that link, it actually sounds as though your Steam account is already linked to another, potentially inactive EA account.
If you reach out to support here they'll be able to take a closer look at the account to make sure you can get back in and access your games.
