EA Deleted account on my PSN account and it is still linked

    Hey @MRKB83,

    I'm afraid we cannot directly help out with account related issues like this on the forums, sorry.

    In this case you would need to be able to verify some information to prove ownership of that EA Account, so that would need to be discussed with an advisor.

    We're not able to unlink a PSN account from an EA Account unless we can first verify that EA Account. While you're not sure of the email address for the old EA Account anymore, if you provide them with the PSN ID they should be able to track down the right account. At that point it would be a matter of just verifying some additional information before they can make any changes.

    If they've located the account but weren't able to verify enough information with you, there's nothing more we would be able to do on the forums sadly.

    Hi Mako,

    I appreciate you post but support have told me that the account is deleted (after i have confirmed with them my psnID) so how can i get the PSN account unlinked if the EA account has been deleted. 

    they just keep telling me that if the account is deleted they cannot unlink it I dont understand why the PSN account doesnt drop off if the EA account is deleted I just want to get my psn ID linked to my current active account thats all surely there is some ability to do so.

       Let me clarify this is from the chat with support. If the account was deleted and I dont know what email was used to create it, let alone have access to it how can i reset the password. Surely there has to be another way to verify

        The reason they're mentioning a password reset is because it's possible to recover a deleted account within a short period after the deletion by performing a password reset, as outlined here: https://help.ea.com/en/help/account/close-ea-account/

        At that point it would be possible to recover the account and get the PSN unlinked. That's of course more difficult in this situation since you're not sure of the original email after this much time.

        Unfortunately if you've been unable to recover that account to get this PSN unlinked through an advisor, we won't be able to do this via the forums either.

        I'd definitely check around to see if you have any other possible recollection of that old email and reach back out to support if you remember anything else that may help out.

    The person I spoke with wouldn’t even attempt to help. All I got was… reset your password… can’t reset the password to an account that never existed… and I tried… so I can confirm that.
