Good to hear that you got a fix of your issue @NodNod666 though this is not something that I have seen myself.
Generally if a download is dropping to 0kbs then this would point to a network or ISP issue.

I've noticed several of these threads when I searched a year or two ago. The people seemed to try everything, get frustrated and accepted it. This could be their issue too. I suspect it's still your client as I went through 2 different ISPs, have a completely different network and the problem was presenting itself on 2 different computers. One running Windows 10 and the other Windows 11. One intel based with an AMD video card and the other amd based with an Nvidia card.

Hey @NodNod666 generally if a client issues we would see a lot more posts about the issue. Generally, we see a handful of people with this issue and most times basic troubleshooting fixes the issue.

Definitely a problem with Origin and one that has been acknowledged in the past on these forums thanks to the numerous posts over the years. It is incredibly frustrating when it happens. I can happily download an OS or other app update without any delays yet Origin will have a panic and grind to a halt. It's not a network or machine problem, it is an Origin problem.- EA_Darko3 years ago

Hey all, if you are seeing slower speeds when downloading then this points to an issue most likely with your network or how your ISP is routing your data.
If you are still seeing slow downloads then this you can try the following steps:
- Disable all background programs on your system (including Steam). You can also do this with a clean boot
- Temporarily disconnect all other devices that you don't need from your network
- Use a wired connection
- Make sure Origin is accepted in your anti-virus and firewall
- Should the issue remains please speak with your ISP and look into improving your connection.

No. It's not slow speeds. It's full speed and then a steady drop to 0. It stays on 0 until you pause it and start again. You have to keep doing this process about 50 more times to finish your install as it keeps stalling. I don't think you fully understand the situation and are so determined that it's one issue that you won't consider it could be something different.
