I absolutely agree 100%. It is not an ISP issue, or a router issue. If it was it would be affecting the machine as a whole, and all devices on that network, and all clients when downloading but it doesn't. It is only Origin, no matter which machine I am using on my network. It is also intermittent, sometimes it downloads fine, other times it doesn't.
Blanket answers blaming the user setup are never helpful. It would be nice if instead this was escalated for further investigation again?
Hey all, this is something we have raised in the past.
Each time this arises it is almost always solved through basic troubleshooting on the user end.
A connection error with one app or program or device does not mean that this is not a connection issue. You can have an issue with just one app, say Origin, and not see it on other apps or devices on the same network. Every device and service you use is routed differently and something as simple as firewall settings or how your ISP is routing data.
If you see this error pop up again please try the steps shared above.

Please can you provide a more technical detailed answer to this? Why? I would like to share this with my ISP so when it next happens I can have them live troubleshooting as Origin sits at 0%.
If my one machine is the only device on a network without a firewall, and I download something, anything non-Origin related, without any problem, why would I only have the problem with Origin? Please provide as much technical detail as possible that I can pass onto my ISP.
If Origin contacts a server during the download process and that server doesn't answer or is overloaded, does Origin bounce to another EA server or does it just stop and wait for that specific server to start responding? What is the download process through the client?
