Yes. And I have completely uninstalled everything and deleted all my saves and everything so I can start fresh and get everything going into my other drive. I had 2700 hours worth of saves that I deleted to fix this but the content is still getting saved into the C drive.
No error report or crashing. I feel like there is a setting I am missing that I just can't find. I don't want it saved in my C drive documents, which is where it is auto saving it.OK, this seems to be a misunderstanding.
The location you set inside Origin is the location for your game files.
You can not change the location for the games save files inside Origin, that location is hard coded for most games too a sub folder of your "Documents" directory.
The only way to change the games save files location is to change the location of the entire "Documents" folder to the D: drive. If you use Windows 10 use this guide. If you use a Windows before Windows 10 this one.
What game we are talking about?
What EA Games apparently doesn't realize is that Windows has created a OneDrive that has taken over the Documents folder. This folder no longer belongs to the user but is backed up to the OneDrive cloud drive and and causes hassrament of the the user because game saves and caches take up a lot of space in a hurry when you have a 5GB free budget.
By example I have stopped playing Battlefield 2042 because I have go into the Documents folders for this game all the time and decide which files I don't want to keep at the risk of deleting or moving the wrong files when I want to play this game.
Right now I have a warning in OneDrive - Personal hidden icon with a red circle and a white X in the center meaning I do not have enough free space and the app is suggesting I upgrade to pay for additional storage.
With windows, Documents should no longer be the default game save location!
How could EA Games not be aware of this issue.
I am at the point now that I will not buy a game if the game saves must be in Documents because we have been complaining about this to each other that buy and play games for years and in other ways to game distributors support groups if they pay attention to the requests not to save in Documents any more..
What EA is doing is like sending all their game save to Google Drive so they would exceed their cloud storage budget!
I have see more support requests for this ever since OneDrive took over than before when Documents was a user Document Storage Directory being consumed by game saves. In game that lets me save to a different directory get directed to "Game Saves".
In addition a game like Battlefield 2042 is probably installed on an SDD drive to get better game play but we don't want to accelerate wear out our SSD with unnecessary writes. In addition, many of us want the game saves on a secondary HDD Drive that acts and an internal backup and data storage drive (including game saves).
EA game is probably losing sales unless some kind of solution is provided, which I have not discovered.
Sincerely,

Update:
I am testing stopping my game saves in Win 11 Documents being backed up in OneDrive with a new feature to me in Win 11.
Settings > OneDrive Backup Files > Back up folders on this PC:
Documents OFF
Pictures OFF
Desktop OFF
Music OFF
Videos OFF

This is now the Origin Mac forum, Windows instructions are irrelevant here. You'd be better off posting them either in the EA App forum or on the relevant game board.
