Link Epic Games Account to EA on a MAC

Good evening,

I tried to download the free packs from the sims, my order number is F2305160149477920, I tried to link my EA account however, the app will not allow me to do so. 

I then tried to follow the instructions on the website: https://help.ea.com/en/help/account/link-ea-and-epic-games/#:~:text=Sign%20in%20to%20your%20Epic,create%20a%20new%20EA%20Account.

But it did not work.

I contact both customer support teams and no one is able to help me or refund my purchase. I would like to take advantage of the packs, but seems no one will help.

Hi all- 

I just saw that in order to get the free DLC from Epic games, you have to link your EA account to Epic Games via the EA App, which is currently only for Windows. 

Does anyone know of a way to link these accounts from a Mac? I have tried googling it to the ends of the earth and can't figure out if there's another way. 

It sucks that EA would leave Mac players out in the dust on this one ☹️ I don't understand why there isn't just an option to link accounts from account settings.

Hi all! I’m a Mac user and I’ve found a sort of work around to this issue, which will allow you to claim the free packs, Unfortunately, it requires temporary access to a pc. What you need to do is get access to a pc and follow the directions on how to link your ea/origin account and epic games. Once linked, log off/ sign off/ stop using the pc. If you go to your Mac and relaunch origin, the free packs should download now, as origin links to epic because it’s the same account. 

If it doesn’t work immediately, wait a little bit before t trying again.

I don't want to seem like an ungrateful person, but this really does suck. My origin has not been working for months now, and I would do anything to get my games back. I have collected so many Sims games from Sims 2 all the way to Sims 4, including many expansion packs/ stuff packs. It's super frustrating that I have put so much time and money into these games for years and know that I have the free time to do what I love. I can get Origin to launch. I'm understanding the stress that the EA staff is going through. But this does not mean I can't be highly disappointed. EA. Do better!
