Mirrors edge start up problem, tried everything

First of all, my apologies for strating a new topic but im lost.

I donwloaded Mirror's edge and the game doesnt work. When i start it. there is a small pop up screen (Loading thingy) from mirrors edge and the screen goes black and tries to adjust itself. Thereafter it freezes and stops working.

I tried all the other Fixes what i could find on the internet, but nothing worked ..

Can any one help me?

Great to hear that you got it sorted @TheNobelOne.

What you could try going forward is to hit the Windows Key and P  before launching the game and set just to show on one monitor and then after works reset it to extend the display.

Hey @TheNobelOne are you seeing an error message of any kind when this issue occurs?

Can you also let me know what troubleshooting you tried?

  • Hello @EA_Darko,

    Thanks for your reply

    I tried this:

Install the latest Nvidia PhysX System Software regardless of whether you are using an Nvidia, AMD or alternative graphics card. AMD Radeon and alternative GPU users who are able to start the game using this method are then advised to disable PhysX in the options menu.

Your monitor may not be supported. Open the engine config file (%USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\EA Games\Mirror's Edge\TdGame\Config\TdEngine.ini) and change the resolution. Look for ResX and ResY in [SystemSettings] section) to one supported by your monitor (try 1024x768 if you don't know what your monitor supports)

    Relocating the PhysXLoader.dll
    \SteamApps\common\mirrors edge\Binaries\PhysXLocal.
In PhysxLocal you'll find the PhysXLoader.dll, copy that, and paste it into \SteamApps\common\mirrors edge\Binaries."

But i've found my solution, i have dual monitors (different resolution). I disconnected one of them before launching. Now it works fine every time i start the game
