6 years agoSorry to hear that you are having issues @stephii12345.
The best thing to do when this occurs take a couple of minutes to go through the following steps:
- Close Origin completely by right clicking the Origin system tray icon and selecting Exit.
- Make sure Time/Date is correctly set on the PC
- Make sure Origin is authorized by your anti-virus and firewall
- Reset Internet Explorer Settings
- Untick the options in LAN Settings ( make sure nothing is checked under Proxy Server )
- Clear Origin Cache Data
- Reset the Windows Host File
- Reboot your computer. Now right-click Origin and select Run as administrator
- If still unresolved, please do a clean boot

No worries @stephii12345, generally it's a safe enough bet to put your money on PC.
As you are on a Mac can you reset Origin and see if it helps: https://help.ea.com/en-nz/help/origin/origin/how-to-reset-origin-on-mac/
