Hey @CamachoCastro sorry to see that you are having issues. If The Sims 4 is using up all your RAM then it may be a case that you need to turn your settings down. To recommended specs for The Sims 4 is 8GB of ram so if you only have 8GB then you may need to ensure that you do not have other programs running when playing the game.
MAC SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM SPECS:
OS: Mac OS® X 10.7.5 (Lion)
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz Processor or better
RAM: At least 4 GB RAM
HARD DRIVE: At least 14 GB of free space with at least 1 GB additional space for custom content and saved games
VIDEO: NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT, ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro or better. Video RAM of 256MB or better
INPUT: Keyboard and Mouse
ONLINE REQUIREMENTS: Internet connection required for product activation.
RECOMMENDED SPECS:
OS: Mac OS® X 10.9 or later
PROCESSOR: Intel Core i5 or better
VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA GTX 650 or better
MEMORY: 8GB RAM
HARD DRIVE: 18 GB of Hard Drive space
Can you try turning your settings down a little and then see if there is a change in RAM usage?

You didn’t even read the original poster’s question. The person is not talking about sims taking up too much ram space- the problem is when you try to UPDATE the sims on origin, all of a sudden the update(aka origin where the update is happening) takes up 100% of the ram and it crashes the whole computer to unbearable speed. I am having the same issue and I have 8 gb ram also.
I troubleshooted several other apps to see if any other app is causing this but it is only origin when it is updating the current update that takes up the entirely of my ram space. I tried cleaning out old cache files, deinstalling and installing origin, cleaning out my computer entirely but the problem persists.
please help and let us know if there is a solution to this as it just crashes the whole computer whenever I try to update sims.
