Origin disappeared
I haven’t played the sims 4 in a while so I turned my computer on to play and noticed The Origin shortcut is no longer there. When I search for Origin the only thing that comes up is OriginThinSetup....

Hello,
The exact same thing happened to me, and I have lots of hours worth of gameplay invested into my sims 4, so I really don't want to lose any of it. I have a very strong feeling that reinstalling Origin would harm or even delete everything I have done so far. I have played Sims 4 last week or the week before and everything worked just right, so I'm really curious about what could have happened while I didn't even use this computer for anything but printing.

Your saves for The Sims 4 are stored locally on your computer. Removing or reinstalling Origin shouldn't affect your saves.

Could you also check if you could find "Origin.exe" in C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin? If so, double click on the .exe file to launch Origin. You can always create a new shortcut on your desktop if the .exe works.
Unfortunately, I can't find Origin.exe, it has completely disappeared. ☹️

Yes, and it worked! So I now have everything in place, thank you for the help. Actually I have no idea what could have happened since I had everything else related to origin on my computer apart from origin.exe.
