i am still having this issue very annoying
Hey @AdmrlSalty is your Origin fully updated?
Is it possible to try Origin on another network, even a mobile hot-spot to see if you see the same issue?

@EA_Darko I tried reinstalling and clearing the cache for origin and it only made my notifications appear more frequently other than that I consistently have friends list issues since the last update.
I found the few suggestions on reddit which linked me to EA site to try.

Hey @AdmrlSalty can you try using your phone as a mobile hotspot and connect using mobile data to see if you see the same issue?
I'm testing the friend's list on two machines and not seeing an issue so it may be system or network related for you.

@EA_Darko I have two friends locally that I play with pretty regularly and they’ve encountered the same symptoms as well. So I’m not sure it’s just my system or connection. Origin had been working just about fine for over two years for me and the last update with origin and Apex Legends it’s gone haywire for me.

Hey @AdmrlSalty I'm not seeing many reports of this so that would generally point to a system or network/ISP issue.
Are all three of you on the same network, is your Origin fully up to date, are you running as administrator, is your firewall and anti-virus letting Origin through? The more we can test and narrow it down the faster we can find a solution.

@EA_Darko I’ll have to try later on but I can say that I personally know I let origin through firewall and I run as admin. We aren’t on the same provider. I run Verizon Fios and they’re on Xfinity.
Do you know the current version number or which Origin is supposed to be? I’ll have to dig into later on when I get home.
I mean there were posts from Monday on this thread if similar issues so not sure how you can say there’s no reports of this.

Hey @AdmrlSalty I said that I am not seeing many reports of this, generally, if an issue such as this pops up and it is caused by Origin then there will be hundreds of posts and threads discussing the issue.
I've been testing it myself and cannot recreate the issue which does lead me to believe that it is a system or network one and as such the more info we have the better we can help.
Can you try a new Windows admin account to see if you see the same issue when logged in?

This happened after i moved and had to get internet turned on again .
id intermittantly use cell data in the interum. friends list worked then .
when base isp was set up, this problem began.
I even removed Origin, using revo uninstaller and installed again.
The problem persists. i tried to reset network and still nothing.
friends list will not appear in Origin nor in Apex. - 5 years ago
I'm having this same issue. Origin shows "Chat Offline" and no friends show up in Apex ("0/0 Friends Online"). It's been somewhat intermittent for me, but I've had no internet changes. I installed the EA Desktop beta and that shows my friends in the app, and I was able to boot Apex from it and see my friends for one session, but I just booted from EA Desktop again and it's back to "0/0 Friends Online".

Hey @qicksiIver, have you tried any of the troubleshooting suggestions posted in this thread to see if they fix the issue?

- 4 years ago@EA_Darko I have the same issue as qicksilver, I installed EA desktop beta to download BF4 with an Xbox game pass and the next day Origin and EA desktop show me "0/0 Friends Online". In game like Apex it doesn't show me my friends anymore, also if I play on Steam.
I have tried everything in this topic but doesnt work.
