For those seeing this issue now, can you ensure that your Origin is fully up to date and ensure that your friends do the same.
If the issue continues can you try a different network, even setting your phone as a hotspot and using mobile data would do to test it and see if you see the same issue.

How using "mobile data" would solve this issue? It is surely an issue with the software. And by the way, this is the only software I have this issue... I've never experienced this with any other game. In over a decade of online gaming...
