Origin install and update

Hello, I got a new pc and tried to install the latest version of Origin but could not. I did some research and found a solution suggesting installing an older Origin version and then updating it. I ...

I assume you downloaded the Origin installer from here:

https://www.origin.com/irl/en-us/store/download

Please try the following:

  1. Set Firefox as your default web browser
  2. Uninstall Origin
  3. Reboot
  4. Run the Origin installer as an Administrator: right click, run as Admin.
  5. Reboot
  6. Right click Origin, Run as Admin.
  7. Attempt to download and play a game.

Thank you so much for your reply. I tried your solution but still did not work. When I try to install Origin, the wheel rotate for a second and then nothing happens.
