This is a technical issue about the Origin client,
@Randomsstoff, so it must placed here:
https://answers.ea.com/t5/Origin-Client-Web-Technical/bd-p/origin-technical-issues-enBoth files come with the "Microsoft Visual C++ 2017". These installation packages are included with the installation of the Origin client.
Maybe you have other software installed that are using these packages.
Check for updates at Windows Update. Download and install any update, including the optional ones. Restart your computer after the installations.
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4027667/windows-10-update#1TC=windows-7Please check again and repeat these steps until there aren't updates anymore.
If this doesn't work, please download the "Visual C++ Redistributable Packages" from the Microsoft website.
Use these direct download links:
https://aka.ms/vs/16/release/vc_redist.x86.exe (for 32 bit) and
https://aka.ms/vs/16/release/vc_redist.x64.exe (for 64 bit).
For Windows 64 bit, you must install both versions.
When there's an option to repair the existing installation, please try that one first.
If you experiencing some problems: Make sure to (temporary) disable the User Account Control (UAC) and security software, run (installation)programs as Administrator.
Also close any other running (background) applications, because they might prevent running these installation programs and/or the Origin client.
