If you had read the post I have tried the legacy version an it sent it into an update loop. Also I've done a clean boot like a week ago so I'm not going through that process again just for one program an having to reinstall over 500gbs of games again for the 5th time in the last 3 months. Ide he better off getting a refund for the game I bought.

Hey @Going2kilzu1 I understand that you are frustrated but I tested Origin just there and linked games through Steam without any issue, I'm also not seeing many reports of this issue so it's most likely a case that this is a system issue. This means that it's often pretty easy to fix, it's just a case of identifying the conflict or issue. Can you grab us a DxDiag so that we can take a look at your system: https://help.ea.com/en/help/pc/how-to-gather-dxdiag-information/
Have you tried uninstalling Origin and then launching the game from Steam so that it will install Origin to see if it helps?

- Going2kilzu15 years agoNew Novice@EA_Darko When I uninstalled it for the 5th time an opened through steam I always get a cant find link2ea error.
When you use the legacy I eather get thrown in a update loop or a msg saying to update to the new installer (which doesn't work an is the reason i tried the legacy)
I have a back up of origins on a flash drive from a friend due to it not wanting to even open the exe to install an it is just doing what it did before an not even opening it. Attempthing to open it. Its Giving me 2 instances in the detail tab of the task manager. The set up an the internal set up then both close. It does not make a task on my task bar only in the details of task manager.
I'll test that link once I get some sleep. I've bin working on a fix for this problem for the better part of 5 hours Just today alone. Yesterday was a combined 8 hour trouble shoot session.
I'm slowly starting to give up on this an just go back to only using steam for everything as that it wear all my games besides a small handfull are. - Going2kilzu15 years agoNew Novice

Hey @Going2kilzu1 I'm seeing some errors there so the best thing to do is go ahead and run System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files:https://support.microsoft.com/en-ie/help/929833/use-the-system-file-checker-tool-to-repair-missing-o...
Let us know how you get on.
