Billing Issue "Please try again later. [ref. #50000]"

    Hey all, I've checked with the team and this issue was fixed on Saturday night.


    If you are still seeing an issue can you try the following to see if it helps:

    • Remove your payment methods on Origin and then readd it again when checking out
    • Try a different connection if possible to see if you see the same error.

Hey all, if seeing this issue can you try the following to see if it helps.

  • Remove you payment methods on Origin and then readd it again when checking out
  • Try a different connection if possible to see if you see the same error.

In the past when this issue has appeared those steps have fixed the issue for users.


I'm going to be accepting this post as the solution for visibility while our team looks into this.

    It is of no use. When I create a new account, which has a similar problem, I think it is no use.😞

    @EA_Darko Have tried as described but cannot purchase Vampire Sims pack. Had error without having payment method details, then again when entered, then again when deleted.

      It's not just bundles. I can't even buy a single pack. It keeps saying ref50000. Do they want their money or not lol.

    @EA_Darko Im having this issue as well and I just tried your troubleshooting method and it hasn't resolved the error code, I'm also trying to buy two isms expansion packs

    I don't have any billing info saved. When I go to check out I put in my info every time. So I have nothing to change. I cant get to check out. I add it to cart and that is as far as I can get without this ref #50000 error thing.

      I'm hoping they get it fixed soon. I have a wallet balance that I had added yesterday to use for a pack or two but this error has been keeping me from getting it. Hopefully we hear something soon. The only resolution that I have seen that works is for people who are paying with card. If you are paying with card make sure you set your card as primary in your account settings. It should let you go through with the purchase. As for us using wallet we just need to wait until they come to a resolution.

    Just tried this at 1200pm EST and still doesn't work. I even signed out of Origin and signed back in... but nothing.
