sims 4 unable to update because of origin download error

I have a Mac. When trying to open The Sims I can't play because it's trying to update but it can't. I always get this error message that I've attached. I'm not sure why it's not updating like it usua...

    @ssama12  Yes, please try deleting the EP11 folder within the Delta folder and see whether that helps.

    If it doesn't, then yes, I'd do a clean uninstall and reinstall of Origin as well as uninstalling the game.  It only takes a little longer than running the reset tool and is a little more thorough, and I'm sure you don't want to get through that whole process only to run into the same error, so it's worth putting in the extra effort.

@ssama12  Please do a clean uninstall and reinstall of Origin, as described in this article:

When you reinstall, you'll be asked if you want Origin to start with your computer and to automatically keep your games and itself up to date.  Say no, as in, uncheck all the boxes.  Then you should be able to repair Sims 4.

@puzzlezaddict I followed the article and it's trying to repair but says the download failed every time I click resume repair.

    @ssama12  Are you currently using an admin account?  If not, that may be the issue: a standard (non-admin) user account may not have the permissions required to allow the update to go through.  Let me know either way.

        @ssama12  How much free and total storage does your Mac have?  You can see under About This Mac > Storage.

        Do you run an antivirus or a third-party cleaner app?  If so, try disabling it, then run the Origin reset tool again and try to repair.

        If that doesn't help, open Applications, right-click on the Sims 4.app, select Show Package Contents, open Contents > Delta, and delete the EP11 folder.  Then reset Origin again, restart your computer, and try to repair.

        If this doesn't help either, the only other suggestion I have is to uninstall and reinstall Sims 4 itself.  Your saves and other user data are stored in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4, and this folder shouldn't get deleted when you uninstall the game, but make a backup copy of it anyway before uninstalling.
