The sims updates
SO,
for the past year, none of the updates made on the sims were actually installed in my game. Origin DOES update my game in the same day that a new patch is out, or a new fix bugs update comes, but I open my game and they never show. The gallery also has not been working this year for me. I checked if I'm online, I clicked on repair origin a lot of times, I tried to repair the game, and nothing works. I also uninstalled origin the hard way. Nothing. I can play the game fine, but none of the new updates are there.
Could anyone help with this problem?
@Picolis1206 It sounds like you're running the Legacy Edition of Sims 4, not the standard version. The LE gets patched but doesn't show the results of those patches; the game you play is exactly the same as it was in October 2019.
To check which version you're running, load the game to the Main Menu (where you can choose to load a save or start a new one) and check the version number along the bottom of the screen. The standard version will end in .1020 (Windows) or .1220 (Mac); the LE will end in .1520 (Windows) or .1620 (Mac).
If you're not sure whether your computer can run the standard version of Sims 4, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post (Windows):

or list the full specs of your Mac, including operating system, as described here:
