Twitch Prime moved to Prime Gaming (Confusion during link causes lost items)

Making this post so that no one else makes the same mistake I did. I got squadrons from the Game Pass Ultimate and went to finally claim my Twitch Prime rewards which was the original service for drops and such and when Squadrons drops came out.

Upon logging into the game I did the tutorial and noticed my stuff was missing so I went to check out my twitch and found the stuff again and proceeded to link account. Little did I know that I linked my personal Amazon which doesn't have prime and not my Wife's Amazon that is actually linked to my Twitch which was how I got drops before. This resulted in me not getting my helmets on Squadrons as well as PERMANENTLY missing out on future drops for any other game such as Battlefield 6 or any other new game out there in the future. The rebranding of the Prime services for free content confused me during linking and I guess reflects prohibition of linking the appropriate account in the future.

As you can see I have these claimed but I can't link my game account since I thought this was Twitch Prime like it used to be. I linked my personal amazon account and not the Prime account which has all of my Twitch Prime drops and stuff.

Offer a grace period for those users that used both services and are similar in situations as myself. I thought I was linking my Twitch account which shows the helmets on there but I guess I wasn't.

Support told me I could re-link the appropriate one, their name was Neha and then I spoked with Sarthak for another 3 hours and got different answers on the situation. I wanted Sarthak to escalate my request but I guess they can't do that. I want someone from Tier II or higher to look at my case and help me out here, especially if this will impact my eligibility for future games. I am not paying 2 amazon prime subscriptions for no reason or just to get content.

Check this out, just started playing apex again and what do you know, since you guys didn't change this game and the way the Twitch gets linked I have the squadrons helmets on APEX but not the actual game it's meant for, obviously, once again, it's proven the whole process is flawed. I still demand another chance to link the right amazon account that actually provides prime for my Twitch account.

@Krethys Also, Apex Legends let me get my Twitch prime drops which worked just fine and I though Squadrons would work the same but it definitely doesn't. I know someone else out there has done something similar.

Hey @Krethys, you do not need to post multiple times in a row and spamming hash tags adds nothing to your thread.

If you linked the wrong account and are unable to link it again then I'm sorry to say but there is nothing more that we can do to assist with this on AHQ.

I will pass your feedback on to the team.

I didn't see the update button until after the fact but thanks for the feedback. The linking was NOT clear at all when I was on Squadrons and which account was actually being linked to the game. As of now, I uninstalled the game and look forward to a solution in the future. I really don't think this is fair at all. Literally right after I linked the wrong account, I unlinked it and tried to link the correct one, saw the error message and reached out to support. One of which lied to me and the other one didn't provide a plausible solution which you now confirmed to be a flaw in the database. I know someone above Tier I can assist me and the support agent wouldn't forward my request to above his responsibility which was definitely upsetting. I looked forward to streaming my gameplay, I am a pretty popular streamer but we'll see how this plays out.

Definitely upset too since this affects ALL future Twitch/Amazon drops, not sure what to call them.

Next time, a warning message of sorts would be nice, I am sure many gamers didn't know that Amazon bought Twitch, I found this out AFTER I linked the wrong account as well. Just thought they were partnered. It's kinda crazy that if I want to claim my rewards, I would have to make a brand new EA account, Xbox Account, what's the point? I claimed my Battlefront rewards just fine since you guys looked at our Twitch account, why can't Squadrons do that?

no one should have to do all this stupid * crap to get in-game content
stop allowing these companies to get away with this nonsense
the new doom was a good game, when i saw how much content was locked behind social media crap i returned the game. (less than 2 hours played on steam)
i will be boycotting this game as well, stop pre-ordering, stop allowing game devs to do this stupid practice. or it's gonna get worse.
if EA does it with Skate 4, guess what? Skipping Skate 4.
I'm not allowing this stupid practice that they can't even fix but implemented look at the CM's response, basically comes down to "we implemented something stupid and now can't help you because of how stupid the implementation is"

Yeah, definitely think I am done with EA games. I am no longer able to get my APEX Legends skins either since I can't link the original account. I don't know why you guys switched the whole setup for receiving Twitch Prime drops. Way to ruin my entire EA account, can never receive skins since I can't link my Wife's Amazon account which has prime, mine doesn't.

Look how stupid this is Darko, I have claimed the past 4 skins back when it was Twitch Prime Gaming, after you guys switched to just Amazon Prime Gaming and didn't tell anyone, I linked the wrong Amazon account but my Twitch account has these skins. I can't use any new skins on my account??? This is clearly stupid and something that someone above you basic Tier I support agents can handle. Instead of blocking assistance at Tier I levels, escalate these to Tier II or offer a grace period because not every player knew that Twitch Gaming drops went away and was rebranded....

I can open a BBB complaint if needed since I am being denied content I once owned.

Cool, they obviously don't care about this flaw. It's pretty funny how I could claim the skins before with Twitch but they screw you over by making you sign in with amazon and don't make it clear during the process so now I can't ever get anymore skins for anymore games. Lost a loyal customer
