VCRUNTIME140.dll and MSVCP140.dll
Whenever I try to download the Origin client on my windows computer I get the system error code "the code execution cannot proceed because VCRUNTIME140.dll and MSVCP140.dll was not found". I don't know what this means or how to fix it, please help. I tried doing what was listed on https://answers.ea.com/t5/Origin-Client-Web-Technical/MSVCP100-dll-missing-in-windows-10/m-p/5017005/highlight/true#M6038 but it didn't work either.
@Demonics8232 The files referenced in the link you posted are part of a different year's VC++ runtimes. The ones in your errors are from the 2015 runtimes.
It's best to uninstall your current copies, if you have any, and then download new ones from Microsoft. Hit Windows key-i, select Apps, scroll down to Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable, click on both the x86 and x64 entries (if you have them), and select Uninstall. You can download new copies here. Be sure to install both the x86 and x64 versions.

Restart your computer, and try to install Origin again.
