I am kind of confused as to how and why you are installing it the way you explained so I may be of little help. I don't recall downloading the sims 4 when it first came out or the first tiem I ever installed origin as it was eons ago. How I install origin or anything EA games related now when buying a new laptop (I just did like 3 days ago lol) or need to reinstall all of the above I always downloaded origin as the very first step before downloading say the sims 4 etc. I have windows 10 and origin downloaded for me in 5 seconds tops. No issues. You go to the origin site itself and download the latest version offered on the site. It should really be that simple and if it is not than maybe it is your computer and not origin? Once origin is installed from the origin site itself you then go through installing the sims 4. Or is that where you are having the issue? Is the sims 4 not installing, but origin is? If that is the case you may have to look through repairing the sims and somehow get it updated. I really can't help you more unless you are more clear in what problem you are having exactly. Origin should not have an issue installing unless your computer does not meet the system requirements for origin. But yes INSTALL origin before installing the sims 4...That itself could also may be your problem?
