Thanks for the response!
In all honestly I’d be even happy with a modern remake of SimCity. In saying that I’d ideally love for it to be something that has many of the mechanics of SC2013 (like how you can upgrade building's rather than placing new ones, tourism like casinos effects crime etc) but just more single player focused and larger maps.
If there is ever going to be a new sim city, I would like it to have roads underpasess and overpasess, same goes for train tracks. More complex traffic aragament in general. Bigger maps of course. To be able to move buildings, to have cemetery, more public transport options, more types of roads, bycicle lanes, pedestrian lanes. To be able to restart map! To be able to enable/disable dissasters. If needed reemploy gyus from Maxis, so EA could make a masterpiece game 😉

Hey all, we will continue to pass your feedback on. Would love to see the series come back and see what could be done in a modern engine, possibilities are endless.

DarkoThanks for that and now that Cities Skylines is getting a sequel it would be great if SimCity could get something too!

I would love to see SimCity comeback. Been a fan since the very first one. I did miss some of the old features like planning your own power lines, water lines and sewage.
Some other features that would be nice additions would be a better road management and planning. Being able to add in roundabouts and other traffic mitigation architecture would be nice. Even more plausible with larger maps.
Another feature would be to be able to connect multiple cities you create to one region but be able to actually edit how they connect. In a sense think of a major metropolitan city or area like NY or LA with multiple districts/cities then connect them all to make one mega city. Being able to create a "city" to be specifically suburbs or low, med, or high income areas while another is mostly commerce or industrial.
With the last SC it would be challenging to build a population and generate enough income without killing off your pop with pollution and other manmade hazards without multiplayer or creating multiple small cities in a region. Even so the ai wasn't intelligent enough to know that the connecting city was where education or jobs were and the cities would suffer or become stagnant without making them independent of eachother. Late game you could redo them but sometimes at great cost or catastrophic failure if the ai got confused.
There was a lot that could be tweaked and refined for a more intelligent responsiveness from the game and ai in the last SC which could be done in a new SC, especially with the advancements in tech we have in 2023 vs 2013.
Just a few of my thoughts.

Hello,
I just came across this thread and would also like to say that I would love a new SC game. I think the aesthetic and features of the 2013 version were good and if they were to be combined with the features of the SC build it phone game it would be perfect! So different residential zones, special buildings and roads.
Also it would be good if the texture of the parks from the 2013 game are fixed so the ground looks more like grass, or matches the region you are in rather than having some dark green/grey colour with white lines all over it.
I think EA should consider another SC game. I think it would be a big hit!
