This would make too logical sense to keep your customer base happy or at least not feeling thoroughly jilted. I purchased this game at launch, full price with a few friends. We started playing and I was mildly impressed. The gameplay was just ok, graphically looked great but it just wasn't much fun... nonetheless, though I stopped playing after a couple of hours, it was in my library and I always thought I would come back and play it again... months turned to years and now, here we are, the game flopped and EA is abandoning it. Bioware is the ultimate villain here, they have not made a good game since forever, ME3 or DA Acquisition were the last ones I remember being any good.... mediocrity and incompetence deserves failure. So today, I downloaded the game and fired it up only to figure out exactly why I binned it away many years ago ... loading times are too long, servers are flakey (could not even get on today), story is missing and not enough players are playing for a multiplayer game in order to enjoy a good gaming session with friends let alone strangers. Again, Bioware deserves to fail... it is probably time EA just dissolves the studio and let the so called "talent" go. They should retire the current IP while it is still good (don't ruin ME like you did DA please) and start fresh, perhaps bringing on board a group of people who actually love gaming and don't hate gamers.
