Cannot import creature?

I recently reinstalled spore because the game wasn't working, I kept all the creature images and when I try to drag a picture into the game, it said cannot import creature. I could import it before I...

Now on the side, it saids my creations👿 but when I press it, no creatures show up except create new creature.

        I heard that the Steam version of Spore doesn't have the latest patches. I tried installing Spore on Origin but it only blacks screens on launch. Only way I can launch the game is through Steam.
