and you have installed all the patches?!
I heard that the Steam version of Spore doesn't have the latest patches. I tried installing Spore on Origin but it only blacks screens on launch. Only way I can launch the game is through Steam.
Oh you have a Steam version, Spore patch should be available to Steam and this explains your issues
