Can't Open Spore

When I try to open Spore in Steam an error message comes up, Configuration Script Failed [2000]. Then once I close the message I get a black screen like the game is opening then the screen closes and another error message comes up, Could not find a needed package. The data directory is missing or corrupt. [1004]. Please help I really want to play this game! 😕mileysad:
