Command and Conquered Remastered Multiplayer Issues

My friends and I recently installed this game to get some nostalgia play time together. The problem is every time I go to host a multiplayer game on Steam they are able to join my lobby but we cannot connect to the servers to host it. Is there any way I can host the game off my own internet?

    this is an ongoing issue that EA dont seem to be taking seriously. There are multiple threads open with this exact issue.

    Why isn't EA answering the concerns?  We need an answer from EA on what the problem is.  All of the C&C players are talking about this and we have nothing from EA that I have seen
