Anthem game refund
Alright, I'm gonna say my piece after hearing the news. Just recently, and not getting informed. Whatsoever through email that the game servers are being shut down, this will make the game completely unplayable.Considering there is no offline mode that was added to the game at all... I think electronic arts should issue either a full refund for everybody who spent money for the game Itself and any other transactions or issue, a credit that would be usable either on playstation or xbox or whatever system you bought anthem on to buy another electronic arts game of your choice... I mean, I spent, I think full price when it first came out And I played and enjoyed quite a bit of it but i've also made comments to several support staff about the game and giving them Feedback I had no clue until recently. Honestly, that anthem was just an online game only. I thought there was gonna be a offline mode that was later going to be added or already had been added... i bought the game with the intention to be able to pick up and play considering that there are plenty of non playable characters in the game itself... I'm hoping that there are others here. That feel the same way that I do... I gave them income for a game to keep in my library and yes it's a physical addition. I think I should either have the right to play it offline or receive a refund for the complete game that I paid for since the game is going to be completely unplayable.955Views5likes5CommentsI need help resolving an error with legacy Spore CD keys
I need help resolving an error with legacy Spore CD keys. **My situation:** I own a physical copy of Spore Galactic Edition (2008) — the collector's edition that includes the base game only. I have: - The original physical box (ISBN 0-7845-466C-0) - The CD key printed on the manual - An active spore.com account (Mandvadin) registered September 7, 2008, showing Games Owned icons for both Spore base game AND Galactic Adventures - Gameplay achievements dating back to September 2008 — a full year before Galactic Adventures even released (June 2009) **The problem:** When I entered my CD key into the EA App, it was registered as SPORE Galactic Adventures (an add-on that didn't exist when this key was printed). The EA App now shows I own the add-on but NOT the base game, making it unplayable. Two EA support agents both told me to 'contact the retailer' — for an 18-year-old purchase. That is not a viable solution. **Why this is clearly an EA-side error:** The Spore Galactic Edition was released in 2008. Galactic Adventures wasn't released until June 2009. It is impossible for this physical key to have been intended for Galactic Adventures. Legacy Spore Galactic Edition keys appear to have been incorrectly mapped to the Galactic Adventures DLC in EA's database. My spore.com profile proves I am a legitimate, long-standing owner of this game. I am simply asking for the base game (Spore) to be added to my EA account, which it already effectively shows on the official Spore registration site. Can a community manager or someone with account escalation access please help resolve this? I'm happy to provide any additional documentation.16Views0likes0CommentsAmerican McGee's 'Alice' trilogy
I'm messaging about the decision to block the development of 'Alice: Asylum', and the mismanagement around the first game in the series 'Alice'. I wrote to EA support and they advised me to post it here, so here we are. 'American McGee's Alice' is one of the greatest games of all time, and is arguably the best adaption of 'Alice in Wonderland' ever made. The fact that we were denied the completion of the trilogy and saw the first game languish as abandonware for so many years without a playable modern release is one of the greatest affronts to art in the 21st century. It's as if Peter Jackson's 'Return of the King' had been scrapped, and the 'Fellowship of the Ring' became lost media due to negligence. If there is any justice in this world, McGee (or the 'Alice' community) should be allowed to complete the third game and the whole series should get a definitive release so that it is preserved conclusively for future generations. This is not just a video game. It's a powerful and culturally important work of fiction which respects and expands upon the themes of the source material in symbolically meaningful ways. It elevates the original books in the way that 'Apocalypse Now' did to 'Heart of Darkness'. It feels good to know that there are still fans of the series making content and keeping the 'Alice' community alive. I'm grateful for their efforts, and hope that one day this trilogy will get the proper closure it deserves. As it stands though, this seems like a fool's hope. Instead, we get 'spooky gothic Alice in Raid: Shadow Legends'. Most everyone's mad here... In conclusion, EA Games are sitting on a masterpiece and preventing millions of people from being able to enjoy it. It is unfair to block the development of a third 'Alice' game ('Alice: Asylum') when thousands of fans are calling out for a conclusion to the franchise [1, 2]. The fact that a version of Alice clearly inspired by American McGee's vision recently appeared in 'Raid: Shadow Legends' (and was well received) shows that there is still public appetite for this kind of content and that a 3rd game would make financial sense. Please release the IP either to American McGee himself, or to the wider 'McGee's Alice' community so that they can develop the final game. In addition, the original 2000 game should be given an official remaster/re-release so that it can be played on modern systems. tldr; Give the creators permission to conclude the 'Alice' trilogy!Solved1.6KViews6likes6CommentsTHE SIMS MEDIEVAL
I’m hoping someone here has dealt with this before. I purchased the limited edition disc version of The Sims Medieval when it first released. It installed directly from the disc and originally just prompted you to register the game on The Sims website. It didn’t require Origin at the time. Years later, I was still able to play it through Origin, which was the last time the game worked for me. Since Origin was replaced by the EA App, I haven’t been able to launch or access the game at all. I still have the physical disc and the product key, and I paid for the game legitimately. It’s frustrating to lose access to something I bought just because the platform changed. Has anyone found a way to get the disc version recognized in the EA App or otherwise get the game running again? Any help would be appreciated because I’d really like to play the game I paid for. Hi! I'm trying to install and play my Retail DVD copy of Mirror's Edge on my Windows 11 PC. It appears to install correctly however I was never prompted for my Product Key. When I attempt to launch the game, I receive the message: The game can't start The license limit for this product has been reached. Please visit http://support.ea.com to Contact EA Support for further assistance. I've tried visiting that page, but the AI chat box is useless and I can not find a way to actually chat/ talk to a real human being about this issue.24Views0likes0CommentsInability to play EA Games on laptop
I tried once a year or two ago. I tried again this weekend. I had a game purchased and loaded onto my laptop. As soon as the game loads, the cursor is moved to the top left corner, and it will not move--it might flash, but it remains stuck in the top left corner. I attempt to move the cursor--nothing. I attempt to see if I can move the cursor using arrow keys or the tab key to see if I can move the cursor to different locations that require the cursor--nothing. In both cases, I uninstalled the game and asked for a refund. Presently, I am awaiting a refund for the game ordered, but this is unexceptable. If I cannot use the EA app to play a game on the computer, what is the use of the application? If asked, I will not recommend EA Games to anyone who asks me. Other than the refunding of my money, I have not received the custormer service or the playability of the games that I received when the games were provided by Pop Cap. v/r R. Hello, I've seen many posts about this but the EA Forums seem to be useless and a total waste of time. I'm on Windows 11 and can't run NFS The Run. I press run, it loads for a bit and then the launcher comes back up. How is support for EA so primitive? People that pirate the game can play it but ones that bought it, can't. It's also not an issue with the PC, as many people have the same issue so EA need to fix this internally. Please help.147Views0likes7CommentsNeed to transfer Spore to my EA account
Do not tell me to "keep trying contact support", because I can not. The "live chat" AI just tells me to refer to self help that doesn't answer my issue. I need a way to contact support, but there is none - when I try to open live chat, it just tells me that it is not an issue that's supported by it. Please, do not lock this thread without answering the question. The ticket system also just sends me back to the self-help page which, again, doesn't help. Please tell me how exactly, precisely do I pester the AI or whatever to connect me with a support agent? Or is there an email I can contact that will actually respond?38Views0likes0CommentsMirror's Edge Catalyst will not launch
Hello, I've been attempting to launch Mirror's Edge Catalyst for about a week now but I stumble against an issue where the process will launch for maybe a single second before the process ends without any error message, seemingly having a clean exit. I've attempted every possible solution I could find online for windows 10, be it editing the hosts file, making custom firewall rules, launching the game without internet, deleting the old save-files and denuvo license file, the EA cache clearing thing, reinstalling the game and the EA app, verifying files, or even trying the game on a different system altogether. Each time, the game simply refuses to do anything more than maybe, once in a blue moon, give me a a splash banner for 1/170th of a second. I really feel like I've exhausted every possible thing I could've done to try and get the game to launch. Is there anything else that could perhaps be done, or am I just stuck never being able to play this game? I was barely out of the tutorial before the pandemic kinda prevented me from playing further.97Views0likes1Comment
