Game doesn’t start, stuck on load screen online

The game will no longer load playing a friend I’ve played well over 100 games. It makes it to the load screen, gets to almost 100% then says waiting. Once it got past this and had just a picture of the fans and stuck there. We both uninstalled and reinstalled, reset internet and same results back to back days. Both on PS5. In any game mode. Disappointed because it’s all we play lately. Any advice ?
