Game doesn't launch

When starting Spore, I receive the message "Configuration Script Failed [2000]"

Screen goes black for a moment as if attempting launch.

Then desktop comes back with window saying "Spore stopped working"

Running on PC w/ Windows 7 Home Premium, SP1, 64 bit OS.
