Game on a disc

My son received the PC Game "Spore" on Disc/DVD but his laptop does not have a Disc drive. He really wants to play it, I tried copying the files to SD card but the installation did not work? I am personally not helpful when it comes to copying discs (ripping) etc.

He has Origin on his laptop, is there a way in which I can download it via Origin using the code the disc came with?

Please help.......
