I can't login to Spore.

My Origin Error Report ID is: 096a0f697000a173

TLDR version, I think there is an issue with the Spore servers / my ID on them such that they are not up to date with EA's database or are offline.

I have turned off my software firewall and put my computer into my router's DMZ (essentially bypassing its firewall).  Is there a way to test ports to see if they are open / accessible?

When I'm in game and try to 'login' and use the incorrect password, I get "The e-mail address and password don't match anything in our system."

If I use the correct password, I get "There was an error connecting to the Spore servers."

If I try to create a new Spore account, it has the same effect as above (doesn't match if the wrong password is used, error connecting if the correct password is use).  Further, it says "You are already registered." while still showing Register at the bottom left.

I have a game specific identity for Spore, Alitari, in my EA Customer Portal.

When I go to Spore.com and try to log in, it says, regardless of what password I use "The email address and password don't match anything in our system."

If I then click on "Do you need help?" and enter my e-mail address below "Do you want to recover a forgotten password?", I get "An error occured while attempting to recover your login information." while the title of the page is "Validation Email Sent" (and no e-mail arrives)

I have run UOTrace for both Spore.com and easo.ea.com, resulting in less than 60 ms ping at worst.

    Log in with your EA account and choose "Spore" as Product, your Platform, "Technical Support" as Topic and "Game won't launch" and then list the exact error message to see all available contact options.
