Please consider bringing The Battle for Middle-earth back LOTR-BPLTM

Dear Electronic Arts team,

I would like to ask EA to seriously consider bringing back The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth, either as a remake, remaster or modern re-release.

For many of us, it remains one of the greatest real-time strategy games ever made. Its combination of large-scale battles, base building, heroes, atmosphere and the universe of The Lord of the Rings has never truly been replicated.

I still own the original PC discs, but installing and running the game on modern operating systems such as Windows 11 has become increasingly difficult. The game is also unavailable through official digital stores.

I would gladly pay for an official modern edition featuring:

  • Compatibility with current computers.
  • Updated graphics and higher resolutions.
  • Restored multiplayer.
  • Modern controls and interface improvements.
  • The original campaigns, factions, music and atmosphere.

I understand that the licensing situation may involve EA, Middle-earth Enterprises and Warner Bros./New Line Cinema. Nevertheless, there is still a loyal international community and a genuine commercial opportunity behind reviving this series.

Please consider bringing The Battle for Middle-earth back. This remarkable strategy game deserves to be preserved and enjoyed by a new generation.

Me gustaría pedir a EA que considere seriamente recuperar El Señor de los Anillos: La Batalla por la Tierra Media, ya sea mediante un remake, una remasterización o una reedición moderna.

Para muchos de nosotros sigue siendo uno de los mejores juegos de estrategia en tiempo real jamás creados. Su combinación de batallas a gran escala, construcción de bases, héroes, ambientación y el universo de El Señor de los Anillos nunca ha sido realmente igualada.

Todavía conservo los discos originales para PC, pero instalar y ejecutar el juego en sistemas operativos modernos como Windows 11 resulta cada vez más complicado. Además, actualmente no puede adquirirse en ninguna tienda digital oficial.

Estaría encantado de pagar por una edición oficial moderna que incluyera:

  • Compatibilidad con ordenadores actuales.
  • Gráficos actualizados y resoluciones modernas.
  • Recuperación del modo multijugador.
  • Controles e interfaz mejorados.
  • Las campañas, facciones, música y ambientación originales.

Entiendo que la situación de las licencias puede involucrar a EA, Middle-earth Enterprises y Warner Bros./New Line Cinema. Aun así, continúa existiendo una comunidad internacional muy fiel y una auténtica oportunidad comercial detrás de la recuperación de esta saga.

Por favor, considerad recuperar La Batalla por la Tierra Media. Este extraordinario juego de estrategia merece ser preservado y disfrutado por una nueva generación.
