Hey Chris_Mustard,
Thank you for reaching out about Anthem after the latest game update, letting us know you'd like to see the IP continue somehow, and praising the art assets; I played the game not too long ago and thought the same thing.
I hope I can help answer your questions about modding and using EA content. This article about EA's IP policies explains that, in general, EA does not allow any modifications to the games; you can also find more information about the sunset process in this other article.
Let us know if you have other questions or need help with anything else. In the meantime, there's a bit more time to enjoy the skies of Anthem while the servers are still up and running!
Throwing my little "please keep the game around" hat in the ring.
I mentioned interest in seeing the game become offline only in my own post, so I'm hoping that there is a way to convince the team to do a final patch to move things offline instead of shutting the game down entirely.
The world is gorgeous and I still think anthem has some of the best gameplay I've played (there's just something about flying around and exploring the environment that is so much fun), and the story and characters had so much potential that inspired me to write and draw my freelancer and connect with some really amazing people through the game. I still love popping on to do missions or just cruise around and recently started replaying the campaign, so I sincerely hope that we can convince EA to pursue another way so players can continue to play without needing to keep the servers up.
