Re: Can't register account in game

You can find it on the origin store by looking up Creature Creator, and no, you don't even have to download it. Purchasing it is enough to get the entitlements needed to register and fully use the Sporepedia. You might be able to convince support to give you the pack for free if you show them the results on the discord, because afaik this is the only way currently for people having the issue. Kyle may of not brought it up since they're still looking for a way that doesn't involve you buy another game.

This is the discord Kyle was redirecting people to, if you're deadset on not buying the pack your best bet is talking to support and referencing the fact this fixed it and showing them snippets from the discord.

@TTVveedwapor fact is that we shouldn't have to pay for something that should be working in the first place. Wether it's 5 or 500 bucks, I can but just dont want to pay for it. A matter of principle; if everyone would give in paying another small fee, Origin wouldn't be bothered to resolve this issue.

Though, my question remains; can you validate all the online functionality in Spore works after purchasing Creature Creator and registering in Spore?

  • I have full access to the sporepedia for both downloading and uploading purposes and everything seems to track properly on the actual spore site.

@0rangeAedan I purchased Spore on Steam, had the folks on EA CS give me a key to Base game, and took my keys for the dlc from steam and registered it on origin, as well as had a CS agent grant me access to creature creator. Strangely enough though, Creature creator basically soft locks/crashes and I need to log out of my computer to actually close it. Will attempt uninstalling spore and its expansions, then install just the creature creator to see if it will allow me to register, then download the full game. Wish me luck.

@pitchtheripoff I contacted EA customer support and the agent was nice enough to add it to my library. I recommend you attempt the free trial on spore.com to see if you can register an account on the free trial version to save you the headache of dealing with customer support first. See if that works and maybe people won't have to contact CS or spend an extra $10 just to register an account for spore.
  • Just wanted to drop an update as I was away for a bit...

The only known solution at the moment is to purchase Spore Creature Creator at https://www.origin.com/can/en-us/store/spore/spore-creature-creator

You do not need to download or install it, it just has to be purchased. Do not install it if you already have the regular game installed, you can corrupt your data.

For some reason, purchasing it marks your account as owning the regular game, and thus allows you to register in-game. Not sure why, and it's unfortunate that this is needed, but until we hear from EA/Maxis, this is it for now.

The free trial does allow you to create an account, but this account will not be able to login to the regular game (seems like the server explicitly blocks trial accounts now, error is "451 - not entitled to use this product"). The other idea was to insert the registration code into the form via a mod, but it still doesn't seem to recognize it.

You may have luck contacting EA support and having them add Creature Creator to your account for free, but this is unverified.

If anyone is able to register WITHOUT purchasing Creature Creator, please post here, DM me, or contact me via Discord https://discord.gg/66jVk3X so we can investigate and hopefully find a better solution.

After several hours with various support people, I purchased the Creature Creator (couldn't talk them into giving it to me) and the issue was resolved instantly. The representative then issued a refund for the Creator. We hope that since I am now registered, my access will not be revoked as a result, however until the refund is processed, I am wary. I will update should there be relevant new information.

EDIT: The refund cleared in minutes and I immediately lost access to the Sporepedia and My Spore. Bought the Creator again, access immediately granted. Incredible.

@Kyle_Necrowolf When checking out the Spore Creature Creator, there are two additional contents(my guess they are the contents we need to get online): "Access to Sporepedia"(iirc) and "Access to MySpore".
I successfully created Spore Online account, logged into both Spore and Spore Galactic Adventures.
After I refunded Creature Creator(which also revoked 2 additional access passes) I immediately lost access to online features in both Spore and Spore Galactic Adventures. I still can access to MySpore website, browse Sporepedia but MySpore now shows that I don't have Spore creation and asked me to buy Spore game(owned games not showing Spore badge, but it does show Creeper&Cute and Galactic Adventures badges)
When buying Spore, Spore Galactic Adventures, Spore Creature Creation, we also got the two online access passes. CD Key redemption or having the game added by agent doesn't seem to give us the two online access passes.
Missing online access passes is the reason that Steam/CD Key users won't be able to create Spore account / or login into Spore Online.
This is the problems on EA side since they should've include the online passes to the account. I'm talking to agents to have Access passes added to my account.

    Someone can help me, please?

Through the EA chat, i get the Creature Creator. Without installing Spore and DLCs, installing only CC, I finally managed to register my account. Now i have uninstalled CC and installed Spore, Creepy & Cute and Galactic Adventures, but when i try to login, i get the message:

    "Login Failed

There was an error connecting to the Spore servers. Your computer might be offline or your internet connection may be having problems. Check your connection or visit Spore.com for additional assistance or server status."

What i need to do to login in my Spore game?

And i don't know why spore is with this symbol "Get it". The site didn't recognize that i have the game, but recognized the DLCs?

  • Hello,

I also have problem with registering game. I contacted EA Help but unfortunately no one was able to help me. I bought Spore on Steam, then guys form help add it to my Origin account. I also tried reinstalling and installing Creature Creator to make an account but nothing helps.

Will it be fixed in some way?

  • I bought it in the sale yesterday, glad to know im not the only one with this issue however I dont know if there is a way to fix it ahhhh

I just bought the CC after registering my Spore from Steam on Origin and still failing to log in.
It did not fix anything for me, so I deleted Spore and installed CC to test if I could register through that.

When trying to Log In, the "unknown issue" does not appear and it tells me that I can't connect to the Spore servers.
When I try to register a new account the "can't connect to the Spore servers" Popup appears, behind it however I can see a text saying that I am already registered.

I can't access the Login for Spore.com via Browser though, the Servers really hate me I guess haha

  • @felippegd
    I got the same things.

In fact, your information is the last message I sent to EA Helpdesk, and they ignored me since then.

And worse, those sneaky * deleted my case from history!

@Kyle_Necrowolf I have found this thread and i think its maybe one of the places i can post this. I have purchased Spore via Steam and of course i wasnt able to login. I then got the CD keys to redeem the game on origin, still nothing. I then contacted EA support and they gave me the creature creator(i have seen on the EA blog that this is supposed to help.) I have successfully registered the account on the creature creator and can login into there and i can also login into the website. However, i still cannot login into normal Spore app. It does tell me that my account is registered but it doesnt let me login. I can login into the creature creator no problem though. Has anyone found a fix? this issue seems to be getting worse every day.
