Hi i'm having the same issue. I bought spore on steam, but when i try and login on the game with my EA account, it says server connection issues. I've tried to find a spot to submit a trouble ticket but I'm having no luck.
I am in the same boat! I can't submit proof of payment because I can't even start a ticket!
